Visited by Disability, Prabowo is very proud because he can fight together
Prabowo Subianto. Dozens of people with disabilities who are members of the Indonesian disability community have joined the Presidential Candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto on Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
Chairperson of the Indonesian Disability Community, Eka Setiawan explained that their presence met with Prabowo in order to meet and discuss several matters concerning the rights of persons with disabilities in the life of the nation and state. Especially when this is a commemoration of International Disability Day.
"Today is a proud day for all of us as people with disabilities, because today on December 4, 2018 is a day of international disability and the Indonesian disability community has done something and God willing, useful for the nation and state," said Eka Setiawan at the Presidential Residence residence. Prabowo Subianto, Jl Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/04/2018).
Eka, who is a blind person with disabilities, explained that currently the Indonesian Disability Community together with the Gerindra Party and other political parties in the DPR RI have struggled to give birth to Law number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities.
However, despite these laws, the Indonesian government has not yet made derivative rules to regulate the technical matters of Law number 8 of 2016. Therefore he hopes that the Indonesian Disability Community can fight alongside Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in order to fulfill disability rights.
"Therefore, we know all that Mr. Prabowo is the presidential candidate of the Republic of Indonesia 2019. And thank you for accepting us all. And this part of a process of change that will be recorded by history and what we did this afternoon in order to change for Indonesia to fight together with Mr. Prabowo, "Eka added.
On this occasion, Prabowo Subianto also explained that he was very happy to be able to dialogue and meet with the Indonesian Disability Community. He explained that he and his family were very close to persons with disabilities. Therefore, the Gerindra Party fought as much as possible in parliament to realize and give birth to Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities.
"I am Prabowo Subianto, thanking you very much for the presence of your brother in my residence. My brothers and sisters that I know are representing Indonesian disability groups, "said Prabowo.
"And in my family environment, Pak Hashim Djojohadikusumo has paid great attention to people with disabilities for a long time. And from the start the Gerindra Party fought hard to defend and advance the condition of the interests of Indonesia's disabilities, "he added.
Prabowo also explained that the focus of the struggle he was carrying out together with Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno was to create equal opportunities for all Indonesians in getting a better quality of life.
"We want all citizens, including people with disabilities, to have a big and equal opportunity to take the best quality of life on this Indonesian earth," Prabowo said.
Prabowo explained that the goal of the founding fathers of the nation in establishing an independent state and nation was to protect the whole nation's bloodshed. So, the protection of each citizen becomes the goal of the state, both from protection in terms of physical, health, security and others. "So that's the job for anyone who leads this nation and country," he said.
"Therefore, it is an honor that we can strive to advance the quality of life of your brothers and sisters. So, we have proven in the Indonesian House of Representatives in parliament together with our coalition party parties that we fight together with you, "he said.
On this occasion, Prabowo who was accompanied by a Team of National Successors (BPN) Prabowo-Sandi such as Fuad Bawazier, Titiek Hediati Hariyadi or who was familiarly called Titiek Soeharto and Wasekjen DPP Gerindra Party Sudaryono also gave a book titled Paradox Indonesia Braille Version to be shared with persons blind disability present at the event.
